Qi Weifeng, graduate of the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, young sculptor and senior arts-and-crafts master. Member of the China Arts and Crafts Society, member of the Asian Society of Contemporary Sculptors, and member of the Sculpture Committee of the China Construction Culture and Art Association. Art Director at the Beijing Tsingshang Architectural Design & Research Institute. His urban public sculptures stand in numerous Chinese cities; his design works have received several national patents, and his professional papers have been selected for publication in top-tier national core journals.
Notable works include: the memorial sculpture of Premier Zhou Enlai at the Great Hall of the People; a series of reliefs depicting veteran formations for the military parade marking the 70th anniversary of victory in the War of Resistance Against Japan; the thematic sculpture and landscape art design for the Memorial Park of China’s Engineering Corps; the overall decorative art design for the China Papermaking Museum; and white-marble relief portraits of nine Republic Medal recipients for the Ministry of State Security, among others.
