Aminata Diop

Aminata Diop is a self-taught artist and “souvériste” visual artist, born in Saint-Louis, renowned for her exploration of wood plywood and reverse glass painting. Through her work, she celebrates women, the fundamental pillars of society, and children, symbols of purity and vulnerability.

Her commitment to children in difficulty is at the heart of her artistic approach. Through her creations, she highlights the realities of talibés, abandoned children, and those in conflict with the law, thereby giving a voice to the most vulnerable.

Recognised for her talent, Aminata Diop won first prize in the Groupe des Amis de l’Alimentation Scolaire competition and has exhibited her works at several events in Saint-Louis.
